This is really exciting. Beginners will be able to write applications and see notifications pushed to their phone without paying or asking permission. The feeling you get seeing something like this is extremely exciting!! It'll motivate people to write more apps, this is good

@joshsojoshsoj @Collab_Land_ I guess I just don't get ~vibes~ I like technical guarantees & impenetrable cryptography & censorship resistance. Sometimes it seems like web3 is about those things, which is cool! But discords and proprietary play to earn games, why does cryptography share vibes with those?

@joshsojoshsoj I have a couple of different quiet yet chonky switches you can type on if you like, when you come over for ☧mas in February. Also a prebuilt keyboard that seems to have worked well, it doesn't meet your requirements but maybe the place I got it from has one that would.

Never mind. Best Buy is lame lol This is what I think I want: 65% size. Silent red switches. Maybe. I don’t know. I don’t want them to be really loud, but I want them to feel chonky. No rgb under the keys (rgb on the sides or beneath is cool I guess). A volume nob thing.

I would like to buy a nice mechanical keyboard. What I don't want to do: spend 4 years studying the art of the keyboard and switch design. What I want to do: walk into a store with a bunch of awesome custom prebuilt options. Buy one, and walk out.

if you’re an artist just starting out, the best advice i can give you is to get really emotionally invested into stuff like like ‘shadowbans’, losing followers etc. advertiser metrics are a really accurate indicator of skill and are super important to producing meaningful work

I'm having this thought discussing Kubernetes manifests with the bros (as one does). These files are very long and there are more ways to accomplish something in Kubernetes than there are in Perl (offense intended to both Kubernetes and Perl).

I am resorting to screenshotting text editor windows or pasting code snippets into the chat. This is fine, but because there are so many ways to do things in Kubernetes, the context (which is too big to convey in each message) matters a lot.

It would be so nice if I could just link to eg lines 47-89 on Github, have the chat client automatically pull those lines in to the chat so that no one has to click out to read it, but that if someone was curious about context they could go to the source and see everything.

If Apple prohibits Home Screen apps from non-Safari browsers, that means they suspect people would rather suffer web platform tooling rather than use Swift et al and suffer App Store indignities. Might be worth pointing a few "why" questions in that direction, if so. 😬
