I am trying to port some system udev logic to mdev shell scripts. I think I might give up soon. I see almost no examples of expected inputs/outputs in comments, and I don't have 99% of the hardware it supports so I can't tell if my implementation will be correct. Frustrating!

On my first attempt (no idea if representative) Bard is not nearly as good at writing code as ChatGPT is. At least in shell.

You can take the namespace and divide it into partitions, but you can also take the controller and divide it into more than one namespace (which you can then further subdivide into partitions).
@mrled
TIL: nvme controllers can divide a single "drive" into namespaces, like SCSI LUNs (and sorta like disk partitions). That's why Linux nvme partition names are like /dev/nvme0n1p1 - nvme0 is controller, n1 is the 1st namespace, and p1 is the 1st partition

Can u get all the AIs in separate bitchy group chats that all contain the entire group except for one model, then whenever that model gives a bad response make fun of them behind their back.

Python? u can't call a programming language that, it doesn't even have any venom. "rattlesnake", that's a good name, it clearly conveys danger and to back away without speaking

It is so funny to me when someone who can write C says "oh I don't know how to open a pull request" when asked. Like if you can convert code from systemd udev to eudev u can probably type "how pull request github" into google

Personally I still don't think that's the case, but I can't call those people crazy any more 😅

holy FUCK.
Windows Snipping Tool is vulnerable to Acropalypse too.
An entirely unrelated codebase.
The same exploit script works with minor changes (the pixel format is RGBA not RGB)
Tested myself on Windows 11 https://t.co/5q2vb6jWOn https://t.co/ovJKPr0x5Y
@ProgramMax
@ItsSimonTime @David3141593 I've got a fun one for you all to look at.
I opened a 198 byte PNG with Microsoft's Snipping Tool, chose "Save As" to overwrite a different PNG file (no editing), and saves a 4,762 byte file with all that extra after the PNG IEND chunk.
Sounds similar :D

What do you call this predicament where people project an illusion of control by employing an overly reductionist explanation? I see it all the time, but I don't have a unique term to call it out. https://t.co/rgKg3qCkYk

the thing is… i get it. the only real bathrooms are down in the basement and up on the second floor. these stairs are right next to the kitchen, so the plumbing was right there. someone had the audacity to say “why CAN’T I put a toilet in the stairwell,” and I admire that

One way to think about AI (even current AI, w/ its limitations & impending ubiquity): it's like we've discovered a new life form on Earth - it's been all around us, but undetectable; it's quite alien, but it has some high competencies and many unknown behaviors. Just now, for
